Temporary test collection is active on public website pages, without a cookie banner. WebM8 respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

WebM8 measures public page visits, clicks, scroll depth and active time viewing named sections. It uses random website-specific browser and visit identifiers in local storage. Browser identifiers last up to 180 days; visits expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Page-view records expire after 180 days and are removed on the next collection request after expiry.

This website tracker excludes signed-in account pages, CV and cover-letter contents, form values and URL query strings. It does not record page text or session replays. WebM8 is hosted using Vercel and Supabase. Content attention estimates visibility during active browsing, not proof that text was read.

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you use social login (Google, GitHub, Facebook), we receive your basic profile information from those providers.

2.2 User Content

We collect and store the data you voluntarily provide to generate resumes and cover letters, including:

  • Your professional experience, education, and skills (Master Profile).
  • Job descriptions you input or scrape.
  • Generated resumes and cover letters.

2.3 Chrome Extension Data

Our Chrome extension collects data only when you explicitly trigger it. When you click "Get from Page" or use the extension to analyze a job posting:

  • We access the content of the active tab to extract job details.
  • We do not track your browsing history or access data on other tabs.
  • We store your generation preferences (e.g., selected template, language settings) locally on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service (generating tailored documents).
  • Authenticate your identity.
  • Improve our AI models and application performance.
  • Communicate with you about your account or updates to the Service.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate our Service:

  • AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic): To process text and generate content. Data sent is for processing only and is not used to train their public models.
  • Database & Hosting (e.g., Supabase, Vercel): To securely store your data and host the application.
  • Authentication (e.g., Supabase Auth): To manage secure logins.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
